Bulkhead fittings, commonly referred to as tank fittings, are used
whenever a pipe or flow control device must pass through or be inserted
into a tank or vessel wall.
We offer four designs of tank fittings made of PVC, CPVC and Polypropylene materials
having either EPDM or FPM sealing gaskets.
These have a shorter length body and are available in ½" to 4"
sizes with socket x thread or thread x thread configurations. Its
shorter length body is compatible for vessel wall thicknesses up to 1"
(up to 2.45" for the 4" size).
The longer length body of these bulkhead fittings enables them to be
used for wall thicknesses up to 2" (over 2" for the 3" - 6" sizes).
These are offered in ½" to 6" sizes in socket x thread, socket x
socket and thread x thread configurations.
When the hole in the vessel wall is larger than can be sealed with the
above bulkhead fittings, this oversized model for ½", ¾"
and 1" sizes can be used because its flange and gasket are extra large.
These are available in socket x thread, socket x socket and thread x
Unlike standard bulkhead fittings, self-aligning bulkhead fittings have
a swiveled configuration which enables up to a 27º adjustment.
These are especially handy when used with dome top and cone bottom tanks
as well as other curved surfaces. Available 1", 2" and
3" sizes in PVC having a thread x thread configuration.
This tank fitting accessory ensures a constant load on the bulkhead
fitting gasket and thus eliminates the need to periodically retighten
tank fittings. This compression ring compensates for wall
expansion and contraction related to temperature or pressure within the
tank. The constant pressure against the tank fitting also reduces
the possibility of loosening due to system vibration. Compression
rings reduce routine maintenance as well as leakage and the effects of
leakage on the environment.
